Our brief was to inject colour, vibrancy and a sense of personality into an existing reception space with a low spend, high impact strategy.

We gave a new life to the reception by retaining and activating existing building features. Spraying the existing dropped ceiling metalwork, adding new lighting and cladding the existing reception desk to give the space a sense of personality that it otherwise lacked. For the reception desk, inspiration was drawn from different retail design projects that really emphasised the counter as the main attraction.

This before photo shows the sparseness of the existing space, with unimaginative furniture, no accessories or styling and uninteresting artwork. By creating an impactful waiting area, we transformed this area from a dull and tired transitional space, to a welcoming and interesting arrival experience.
