Our work

Plastic Free July

Exhibition

We asked residents at Legal & General's Blackhorse Mills development to bring us their plastic waste throughout July. We then invited artists and manufacturers to take that plastic waste and give it a new life.
The campaign started as a social experiment to showcase the sheer quantity of plastic waste consumed by a London development in one month. This then evolved into an exhibition aiming to highlight the problems with plastics, and encouraging people to consume less, and re-use more.
Artists and manufacturers converted the waste collected into art and innovative products. We also had product spotlights to highlight brands making great efforts to reduce the amount of plastic in landfill
The amount of plastic in our lives is overwhelming, and our recycling system is not as effective as people believe. Through a series of facts, the exhibition aimed to highlight the extent of these plastic problems.
Tactile material displays allowed people to see what material looks like at different stages of the recycling and production process.
The exhibition highlighted the good work being done by eco conscious brands. These spotlights included lifestyle, menstrual, and furniture companies.
